Super Astro Run is a simple endless runner game made for Android devices available on Google Play.

The objective is for players to survive as long as possible by not falling off the screen and avoiding asteroids.

 

Players are able to jump as well as slow down.

 

This project was created using Unity Game Engine. The programming and sound on this project was done by myself, while the art was done by two other team members.

 

With this game I just wanted to try creating a simple project from start finish, but I also wanted it to be somewhat fun.

 

Essentially the game is very similar to flappy bird where players need to jump and avoid the obstacles. However we wanted to put our own touch to the game so we added a slowing mechanic. The slow would cause your horizontal speed to slow down, but keep your vertical speed the same. This slow can help players a lot to avoid asteroids. The slow can only be used for a limited amount of time, as shown by the yellow energy bar and can be replenished by collecting stars.
