Current situation

Yaroslavl International Airport (Tunoshna) is an airport of federal significance based in Yaroslavl. Located in the Tunoshna rural settlement of the Yaroslavl municipal district of the Yaroslavl region, 2 km northeast of the village of Tunoshna, 17 km southeast of the center of the city of Yaroslavl. The airport is located in close proximity to the Volga River (Gorky Reservoir) and from the M8 federal highway "Moscow - Kholmogory" (on the Yaroslavl - Kostroma section).

Международный аэропорт Ярославль (Туношна) — аэропорт г. Ярославль. Является аэропортом федерального значения.
Расположен в Туношенском сельском поселении Ярославского муниципального района Ярославской области, в 2 км северо-восточнее посёлка Туношна, в 17 км юго-восточнее центра города Ярославля.
Аэропорт находится в непосредственной близости от реки Волги (Горьковское водохранилище) и от федеральной автотрассы М8 «Москва – Холмогоры» (на участке Ярославль – Кострома).

Airport terminal

The new building is the connection of several volumes through a glazed facade. It serves as the central hub for passengers and connects all functions and services of the terminal, ensuring their easy identification and accessibility.
The façade of the building gives a reference to the nearby Volga river channel - the wave-like forms of the façade give dynamics and indicate the direction of movement for visitors. Despite the angular forms, the waves create a smoothness of line. This fluidity is further enhanced by the consistent use of materials and lighting when moving from the interior to the exterior.
The entrances to the exterior façade are highlighted by a gable-roofed frame, which pays tribute to the village of Tunoshna and all the classical buildings of the region.

Новое здание это соединение нескольких объемов через остекленный фасад. Именно он служит центральным узлом для пассажиров и соединяет все функции и услуги терминала, обеспечивая их легкость идентификации и доступность.
Фасад здания дает отсылку к близлежащему протоку Волги – волнообразные формы фасада дают динамику и указывают направление движения для посетителей. Не смотря на угловатые формы за счет волн образуется плавность линии. Эта плавность еще больше усиливается за счет последовательного использования материалов и освещения при перемещении из внутреннего пространства во внешнее.
Входные группы внешнего фасад выделены каркасом со скатной кровлей, что отдает дань деревне Туношна и всей классической застройке региона.
