Production
This music video was filmed on the Severn river in Annapolis Maryland. The goal for the visuals was to use one space to emphasize the song and display a performance in nature. The video was shot in under two hours as the sunset only lasted for so long.
Editing
I chose to use a black border overlay to encapsulate my video not only as a creative choice, but because it gives me more playroom in the 16:9 aspect ratio. In the second picture you can see how the raw video does not fit entirely into the frame. This method of concealment also played a huge role in getting the ai generated animation to seamlessly become part of the video.
Challenges
The most difficult part about shooting this video was the amount of time I had to shoot before the sun went down. I made an effort to get every desired shot and I used only my camera and an iPhone flashlight for very minimal additional light.
