Keep Calm | Physical Interface Design
"Keep Calm" is a physical interface aiming to visualize the influence of external factors (e.g. stress situations) on our physical/psychological state, based on data obtained from pulse monitoring.

The pulse data was visualized using Neo-Pixel LEDs, which indicated the current mood of the wearer via flashing (slow - resting pulse, fast - increased pulse) and color (blue - calm, red - stressed).
In addition to the direct visualization of the pulse data, the LEDs also imitated a second effect. Similar to the patterns on the wings of a peacock butterfly, the rapidly flashing red LEDs had a repelling if not deterring effect on people approaching the wearer.
