Overview

Curio is a social app designed for Gen Z, allowing them to ask questions and receive answers. This platform encourages open dialogue and knowledge-sharing among its users. It serves as a digital space for the younger generation to seek and provide information on a wide range of topics.
Problem

Exploring one's curiosity is undoubtedly one of the most enjoyable experiences for many individuals, particularly among the Gen Z generation. After all, who can resist the allure of discovering the most adorable person in the neighborhood? Often, our inquisitiveness is directed towards uncovering the "how" and "who" of various matters.
The desire to satisfy our curiosity is an inherent trait. It's in our nature to seek answers, to understand the world around us.
My Approach

I created a platform similar to Quora, focusing on simplicity and minimalism in design. My goal was to provide users with a less cluttered and cleaner user interface. In essence, I didn't introduce a completely new concept; instead, I enhanced and retained the fundamental features of Curio, all while prioritizing user anonymity.

Onboarding:

Curio's onboarding is straightforward and easy. It begins with a brief walkthrough screen, a registration screen that requires just your phone number, username and password and a verification screen that verifies your phone number.
Discover:

Curio's Discover is a timeline of curio's (post) and polls posted by anonymous users around you. Users can also interact with posts by liking sharing or commenting on curio's.
At the bottom part of this screen, a fixed button which can be used to ask curio's or polls on your discover page anonymously
My Curio:

it's your personal timeline which contains post or polls made by you and posts on discover.
At the bottom part of this screen, a fixed button which can be used to ask curio's or polls anonymously.
Reading curio's answers:

Reading comments is the most enjoyable part of curio, I designed it with minimalism in mind. It's an extension of the main curio's screen. It features an option where you can " copy question link " or " delete question " at the bottom of the screen. You can also share answers to your audience by either " save as image " or " share via any other means supported "
Post a curio:

Just like asking a question, it requires a sender and a receiver, just type what you are curious about either to the " discover page " or personally ", copy the link and share.
Post and answer a poll:

Just a little different from posting a curio, you're curious but you have a wild range of options, that's where this feature plays a huge role.

Answer a curio:

Either web, iOS or Android, With the user and minimalism in my I designed a similar screen for answering curio's and polls.
Conclusion:

In summary, this case study emphasizes user-centric simplicity, minimalism, and anonymity. By maintaining Curio's core functions and delivering a clean, uncluttered interface, it provides a thoughtfully evolved knowledge-sharing platform. This approach offers a streamlined, secure, and visually pleasing environment that caters to users seeking efficient knowledge exchange.
