The mask is a symbol of people's inner world. It is a kind of cultural phenomenon all over the world. Because of its rich cultural significance and its special external form, it has attracted great attention in science. Mask is a special field of plastic arts and first appeared in the distant ancient times. The masks of many tribes were often carved and painted together to create wonderful works that, despite their grotesque forms, were not a significant achievement of the plastic arts. In terms of use, masks are not only artistic, but an important role is also played by the protective effect. When doing dangerous work, many people wear masks, for example, firefighters, doctors, workers in the chemical and nuclear industries, and even some street vendors. They all wear masks. According to research and investigation, masks are a kind of culture, they have artistic expression and practical protective effect, but people use different forms in different fields.

In the future, man's overexploitation of nature has caused man to be absent from the earthly environment, and man must wear masks in order to live. Ordinary people are excluded from the limited habitat, they wear masks for protection and resistance.

User Persona

An ordinary man in the future. He is about 20 years old. He wore a mask to survive. To compete for resources and live in a better environment, he joined the resistance army of people on the ground.

Mask purpose

First, and most importantly, as a protective effect, to purify the respiratory environment.

Second, also as a symbol of the fight against pollution, represents the warrior.

From the initial gas mask to the back, I added elements of soldiers, and finally made it more abstract through the transparent plastic texture

Concept

The inspiration comes from some cultures where the mask itself is a symbol of war. So, in conjunction with the protective effect of the mask itself, the design idea for this product was born. In the end, a breathing mask was combined with a military mask, giving the final product a certain cyberpunk style. On the one hand, it represents the protection of people through masks in the presence of pollution, and on the other hand, it represents the resistance to pollution.
