How much weight can you lose with dry fasting?
Dry fasting is done in stages, so to understand how much weight can you lose with the dry fasting, you need to develop an understanding of its stages. But to prepare for a dry fast, one must consume a lot of water, the proper electrolytes, and a ketogenic diet. It is essential to remember that everyone’s stages can vary slightly depending on various factors. The way your body significantly impacts the occurrence of detox symptoms.
Stage 1-Don’t eat or drink

First, remove food and water from your surroundings. During this dry fasting stage, food triggers anger and irritation. This feeling usually lasts 1–3 days. Whether you are doing a soft or hard dry fast, you may abstain from water. This means no showers, tooth brushing, or bathing. 1.5 kg per day (3.4 lbs) is expected to be lost as your body uses up its stored water without any source to replenish it.

Stage 2- Ketosis and weight loss

Expect to lose 1 kg per day (2.2 lbs). The body is still losing stored water but is starting to produce its own. This water from fat cells builds blood ketones. Body pH rises. Headaches, nausea, and cravings are common due to various factors.

Stage 3- Acidotic Crisis

As a result of dehydration, the body begins to rely on stored fat for energy and nutrients. Most people feel better after the first two days when headaches and other issues typically vanish. Your ability to concentrate and think improves dramatically. There may be a change in sleep patterns and habits with an increase in thirst and a decrease in hunger. As the body obtains its water supply through the digestion of fat cells, the rate of fat loss accelerates to a maximum, where it is predicted to remain at about 1 kilogram (2.2 lb) per day.

Stage 4- Physical Activation

It is possible that your body temperature will increase as your pressure drops. Disrupted sleep is expected, and so is a steady loss of about 1 kilogram (2.2 pounds) per day. The colour and urine volume are still the same as on day three of dry fasting.

Stage 5 — Pain and aches

On day five of a dry fast, you may start to feel the effects of the deprivation. Pain in various parts of the body and internal organs are common around this time. People who have fasted before believe discomfort is a sign of where healing is needed. There is an increase in temperature, and one’s blood pressure may go up or down depending on their health. Loss of about 1 kilogram (2.2 lb.) per day (or so) is anticipated.

Stage 6- Exiting Acidotic Crisis

Your sense of smell improves on day 6 of the dry fast. However, backaches are common from sitting or standing for too long. When standing, sudden movements cause dizziness. Expect to lose 1 kg per day (2.2 lbs).

Stage 7- Stabilization

On the final day, the body temperature drops and then stabilizes, along with the blood pressure. This is where one must prepare for refeeding.

Stage 8- Refeeding

Refeeding is the most essential part of fasting. Most recommend taking twice as long to refeed after dry fasting. The refeed begins with bone broth the first day and adds food the next.

We hope this helps you understand how much weight you can lose with each stage of dry fasting.
