This book series is a part of the bachelor diploma project at Vistula University in Warsaw, released in 2020. 
The diploma supervisor: dr Marcin Mikołajczyk.

The subject of my diploma thesis is a series of four artbooks, which bring up the most important actual ecological problems of the contemporary world. The book cycle is based on a philosophical concept,  according to which our world consists of four elements >>> water, air, fire and earth. This series of art books presents the negative ecological effects arising from the balance disturbance of each element, namely their excess or deficiency. The goal of my work was to show the biggest ecological problems in an attractive and thought-provoking way.

During the work on the book series I took an artistic challenge to show four elements as abstract paintings. I created several art works in acrylic pouring and ink flow art technique, which became an integral part of the graphic design of my books. I chose a triangle shape as a form of the books because of its relation to alchemic symbols of four elements. In designing my project I followed one scheme, but  at the same time I treated every page in an individual way.

WATER
The WATER book describes the ecological problem of clean water scarcity and the problem of sea level rise.

FIRE

The FIRE book describes the ecological problem of the biggest fires of the 2019-2020. I mentioned there the Amazon rainforest fire 2019, Syberia wildfires 2019, Australian bushfires 2019-2020 and Polish largest National Park's fire 2020.

The EARTH book describes the ecological problem of the soil degradation and overpopulation.

The AIR book describes the ecological problem of CO2 emissions and its effects on air condition such as smog and the problem of the ozone hole.
