The Making of the Satyriac Prince project.

The Making of: Satyriac Prince Project
Brief show of my steps
2010 era Prince
90's era Prince
The Satyriac Prince project roughly took me two months to complete, half of which was taken by building the guitar, it was the most time consuming part.

 The Concept art
full body piece. To make this I started by making the head and bust, from then I added another item and made the torso and the arms. Then I made two cylinders to make the legs, and finally, a square to make the shoes. However what I realised I should have done is make the body separate from the clothes THEN dress him. But I kind of rushed to finish this project.
Glasses Development

Beard Development
Second hair development
For the second haircut, It was kind of a spontaneous thing. I decided to do the alternative cut because I wanted to know how the model itself would have changed. I'm glad I did because I do prefer the second outcome more.

While the afro was one object, the second haircut are separated in their own locks of hairs. The inspiration for this haircut was a mix of his Dirty Mind era and Rave era.
The Two final products in comparison
For both the renders I used a ''high roughness'' coloured walls, this is an example with the second one.
Editing in photoshop
Guitar Development
The guitar is what took me the longest time to make, as I was copying every small crevice that was visible. I believe i did a pretty good job, but there is space for improvements.
I started the guitar by firstly creating a short cylinder that is the main part. After that I did its iconic arch, then the neck. All the rest came after that.
In conclusion, I learned so many new things by making this project. I made huge steps in my skill levels and overall, I'm quite proud of the final outcome! Can't wait to work on the next character!
