In the process of overhauling the Skittles brand for the following project, I targeted developing a smaller scale, more portable Skittles container for destinations that would warrant carrying travel size candy packaging. I would end up arriving at the Ice Cubes gum container as an ideal solution to design my packaging around, since it was originally created bearing small storage areas such as purses and backpacks in mind. The color scheme of the various packages was acquired using Adobe Colors, with the illustrations being primarily inspired by seasonal iconography for Easter, Halloween, and Christmas respectively. Furthermore, the secondary yellow colored font which would later find itself on the packaging would be sourced from a local font portal, in which the typeface employed would be an all uppercase, non-paid version of the original Skittles font. Lastly, it is worth noting that all the assets were handmade using Procreate, with exception of the Skittles logo and rainbow combo (which were edited in Photoshop to suit the different alterations of the product).

The production of the display would prove to be the most difficult portion of the project, due to the fact that I had used a radiator box which did not allow tape to easily stick to the sides of both the box and the paper above it as a normal box would. However, with double sided tape, an X-Acto knife, and glossy paper adorned with the designs of the cutouts, I was able to make do and create a display which provided resting spots for my three gum containers mentioned above.
