Self-inspired corporate identity

The brief

Develop and design a new corporate identity (brand) for your own graphic design undertaking. This includes a logo, letterhead, business card, quote form, fax form, portfolio cd cover and promotional items.

The concept

This project is therefore a corporate identity for myself as graphic designer. The Afrikaans saying “knap gedaan” is used in a playful manner, as the saying is used mockingly by younger generations, and praiseful by older generations. “Knap” is synonym to smart, good and neat, and therefore the title can loosely be translated to “neatly done”. That brings me to the inspiration for the project. The concept is driven by my perfectionistic character. “Neatly” is how I like to design. I have broken some rules in order to challenge this strict trait of mine, which brings a playful character to the look and feel. I used icons of household cleaning items as metaphor for my desire to clean up, not only my home, but that which I design. This adds to an overall theme of a neat woman. The promotional items played on this theme and were chosen to be clever items every neat woman (and man) needs.
