See you soon was a team effort. Everyone got to be creative and inspire the others for this project, even though it was mainly created for the Master of Layra Rodrigues, the director and mine, the scenographer of the project, at Paris 8 Vincennes.
For me it was a project where I could combine cinematic means in my set design in the most productive and free way possible.
Every scene is inspired either by the movement or the music, so that there is no literal depiction of what is being said. In the scene above, Lud asks us "you have nothing to tell me?" while I choose to show the spectator a perspective that in cinema is called "bird's eye view". It kinda goes like this, they ask/wonder/dance/express and I show. In a way this is the most interactive set design I have had the pleasure to imagine and create.
While the girls are dancing on stage, I am painting the colors I hear in the music.
One word, "la puppette" intrigued this stop motion video that was projected simultaneously with the solo of Mathie.
