I live in Philadelphia, PA with my husband and two adorable cats. I attended Kutztown University and received a BFA in Printmaking in 2006. Using half of our dining room as an art studio, I create what I can in a limited space. While I was trained in intaglio printmaking, since school I've explored oil painting using some printing techniques and mixed media drawing. I've I also utilize the computer to refine digital drawings and designs, using what I have (a Dell PC, Bamboo Wacom tablet, and usually Adobe Photoshop CS3). Read Less

My paintings and drawings are inspired by the psychology of our interiors, our thoughts, convictions, and spirituality. I also explore relationships between people, the Divine, self, and nature. I pull inspiration from the artworks and philosophies of Mark Rothko and Mokoto Fujimura especially.

I keep three colors as a staple in most of my work: Alizarin Crimson, Ochre, Prussian Blue. If colors could sing, I prefer the gritty soul and poetry of these colors far more than the pristine and precise nature of traditional primary colors. Read Less
