I wasn't sure where to post this... perhaps I'll put it in the project folder once I build up more art inspired by this artist? (Lois van Baarle aka Loish). I drew one eye near the bottom of the page, and it formed a face. I really like how it looks. I'm definately a fan of drawing eyes this way, and giving the lips more shape. Don't think I quite got the hair to look as layered as Loish does, and I wasn't sure where to add all the lines, but overall I quite like this image. I am really bad for just drawing faces straight on. It's a comfort zone of mine, as when I try other angles I get disheartened when I can't get the eyes in the right position. However, I realise that if I avoid it then I won't get better at it. I'm also bad for just drawing faces rather than a face with a body, again because as soon as I add a body more proportions come into play that can easily go wrong and "ruin" the picture.
