I am the third of five chocolate skin children from an engineer and a professor. I was the kind of kid who spent a lot of time outside playing with pals until I met with joy the comics. Since my birth I`ve been living in a Southamerican city with a lot of red bricks, some green spots and a constant rain.
At the age of 12 my Mom bought me this amazing comic book Asterix legionnaire written by Rene Gossinny and illustrated by Albert Uderzo, that was the beginning. For a lot of years I used to read it every single day, I still have it not in the best condition I should say, but instead of that I collected the whole Asterix`s book series along with a ton of art and comic books. Since then graphic novels caught my eye and one bookshelf was not enough for all these stories.
Thanks to my Dad I took a few drawing and art courses and finally went into a graphic design program to figure it out that drawing, photography and typography would be an essential part on my illustration process.
By 20 years old I started to create illustrations for some publishing houses and cultural magazines mainly for short stories and essays. Besides and as a consequence of my drawing skills I`ve been part of some animation and interdisciplinary projects. So breaking the isolated aspect in Illustration work, I`ve had the opportunity to be part of many collaborative processes as you can see in my website www.wilsonborja.com
Finally I have one habit: Dropping some lines every day as an intention to find a path to follow. Read Less
