Waseef Akhtar is a freelance photographer based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He has worked with a few companies as a part-time photographer. Photography is his passion and he aims to pursue it until he has pushed the boundaries of his ability. He has been interested in photography for many years, but only began taking this hobby seriously in 2008. He is constantly trying to ameliorate his skills and evolve as a photographer.

Hailing from the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, Waseef was born in 1993 in Riyadh. Having always had a thing for art, he excelled at it in school. He won a multitude of drawing competitions and was applauded for his gift by friends and family alike. As a child he was encouraged to show his work to the world and to try to promote change. In 2007, at the age of fourteen, he got his very own, first point-and-shoot camera. Soon he discovered Flickr, a photo-sharing website, and being opened to a virtual museum of images taken by photographers all over the world, his ardor for photography just grew more intense. Thus, he was inspired to capture whatever he found interesting, shared it with the Flickr community, and got to learn a lot.

By mid – 2008, he got the opportunity to work as a part-time photographer for a beauty products' company. Since then he always tried to take pictures that were unique and stood out. He has since upgraded to a DSLR camera and continues to be an avid reader of many online articles, tutorials, photography magazines, and is still learning from every moment of his life. Read Less
