Veronica Corzo-Duchardt is a Cuban-American artist, designer, teacher, drummer and collector of things.
Veronica has been a designer and art director for 11+ years in Philadelphia, NYC and Chicago, where she primarily worked in the music, fashion and magazine industries. Over the years she has worked for V2 records, Surface magazine and ENK International. Freelance clients have also included Artista records and Sony Music. In 2006 she relocated from Brooklyn to Chicago to attend the graduate program at The School of the Art Institute. There, she completed an MFA in Visual Communication in 2008 and a second MFA, in Writing, in 2009. Immediately after graduating, Veronica started her art and design studio WINTERBUREAU. In addition to running her studio, veronica is an adjunct faculty member at Harrington College of Design, Chicago, IL. Where she currently teaches, design research and worked on developing the curriculum for a new MFA program in Communication Design.
Her work has been exhibited internationally and is held in permanent collections at: NEWBERRY LIBRARY, History of Prints Collection, Chicago, IL; JOAN FLASCH ARTIST'S BOOK COLLECTION, Chicago, IL; MUSEUM OF DESIGN, ZÜRICH, Poster Collection, Zϋrich, Switzerland.
