In 2005, Nikolas Greenblatt birthed the idea for a new magazine that would change the publication world. Living Proof Magazine would combine the superior content, feel, and attributes of a newsstand magazine with the do-it-yourself aesthetic of small 'zines. Rather than just a mere trend report, Nikolas cultivated Living Proof into a basic book of facts, knowledge, stories, and pretty pictures designed to easily slide between the Encyclopedia, Ulysses, and the entire Pantone Library on a book shelf instead of winding up in the plastic casket that is a trash can.
Artists featured have included Ron English, Phil Frost, Todd James, Martha Cooper, Josh Cheuse, Kevin Lyons, Steven Harrington, Jim Houser, Ellen Stagg, Stash, House Industries, Claw Money, Cope2, Alex Prager, Adam Wallacavage, and many others.
The magazine can be found on the shelves at Supreme, Alife Rivington Club, Reed Space, HUF, Ubiq, St. Alfred, Concepts, Undftd, Subliminal Projects, OHWOW, and other fine boutiques and art galleries.
As a relatively young publication, Living Proof Magazine has seen it's fair share of critical success and acclaim. Across the internet, popular websites like Hypebeast, Booooooom, HighSnobiety, Curated, Rad Collector, FlyLyf, GrooveEffect, The World's Best Ever, and Kanye West's personal blog, have written about Living Proof Magazine, helping to grow the publications readership a very large amount in a very short time with readers from all over the world finding interest in the magazine.
The Living Proof Magazine Artist Alliance is another initiative Nikolas launched under the Living Proof Magazine umbrella. The Living Proof Magazine Artist Alliance brings together artists and goods to produce what they call "creative products." The Living Proof Artist Alliance launched in 2010 with a skate deck from photographer Ellen Stagg that features the lovely Justine Joli. Shortly after, another skate deck was released, this time with noted photographer and "Love Me" tagger/stickerer Curtis Kulig. Headwear from graffiti legend Cope2 and Marco Zamora are slated for release as well. With very limited edition runs, these "creative products" mirror the appeal of the magazine that has been built up over the last few years.
