Never Now
Never Now is a creative concept dreamt up by graphic designer and ideas man Tristan Ceddia in late 2006. Having previously founded, established and masterminded the art groupcommonly known as The Serpents and worked for industry heavy weights such as Perks & Mini, Stussy and Modular Records, Never Now emerged as an avenue to dedicate more time and effort to producing new graphic design work.
The work that Tristan produces comes from a different place to just about everything else I have seen in graphic design. His is an aesthetic sensibility that doesn’t come from graphic design as much as it does art and subculture. His work is dense in meaning, reference and association, while maintaining a simple and uncluttered form; echoing Pop art, Postmodern art and the finest iconic graphics of the last thirty years, but looking back on these with a contemporary eye that pushes design forward. These are joyful, positive innovations that have solidly enhanced the profile of all those he has worked with.
Never Now promises to be a strong continuation of this excellent body of work, and a strong leader into wild new territory. Never Now is business mixed with pleasure; rich concept and direction, and faultless professionalism.
