CTTC Design is part of the Cape Town Toiletry Company. Brands include: Capewest, Debonair, Xavier, The Fruit Collection and Yours Sincerely. The company also produce private label for some of the worlds largest retailers.

As creative director and a founding member of the management team, an essential role has been played in the growth of The Cape Town Toiletry Company. Responsible for all creative output, leading projects from concept brief through to production and working in partnership with some of South Africa’s largest retailers and design agencies, prolific and unique brand and packaging solutions are created.

Key responsibilities: Acting in both a client facing and active design role capacity across four key areas; brand and packaging design, product development, project management and print production. Providing creative and strategic leadership for all new business pitches and design presentations. Recruiting, motivating and managing the design team. Establishing and nurturing strong and effective client relationships. Working alongside packaging technologists to ensure adherence to sustainable packaging principles. Using a large network of contacts gathered through extensive experience, to source high quality, cost effective and competitive packaging, product components and print, from both national and international suppliers. Working as part of a wider company team and liaising with manufacturers to ensure projects are kept within budget and to deadline.

Somerset Creative is part of the Somerset Toiletry Company Group. Brands include: Greenscape, Asquith & Somerset, Castelbel, The Caribbean Collection, Flower Fairies, Penningtons of Bath and Naturally European. The company also produce private label products for a large number national and international retailers.

Key responsibilities: Responding to briefs and producing brand, design and packaging solutions to supply large US retailers and European markets. Creation of identities and brands that became internationally recognisable and flagships for the company.
Initiating the use of 3D design systems, which led to the National Business Award. One of three senior creatives who developed a prolific design studio of art-workers, 3D artists, illustrators and design planners in a time frame that led to the Sunday Times Fast Track ranking (2004). Designing and facilitating production of exhibition and point of sale units. Wide spread international travel to secure new clients through design presentation and sourcing products and manufacturers.

Key responsibilities: Overseeing design on a number of the companies largest accounts. Strong design input contributed to winning tenders and creating design solutions for a wide range of household name clients. Working with BBC brand guidelines to create the identity and innovative supportive packaging, literature and advertising for the ‘Whoever, Wherever, Whatever’ print campaign. Designed brand, and successive brochures, packaging, billboards, postcards and signage for the ‘The Point’, Beaufort homes’ multi-million pound modern housing complex investment on Bristol’s waterfront.
