TIXINDA is a mexican design brand creates by Anabel Vanoni and Eric Morales “Dr. Morbito”, it’s a fusion between design and urban-ethnic art, engaged in recovering our cultural identity valves through the creation of exclusive innovative and ludic products. TIXINDA was born since LOVE in long run searchs and spiritual needs, rescuing to ethnic magic and is much more than what shows at first sight, is a project that propose to mediate between prehispanic and present cultures to join them in a simple, deep and engaging way. Vanoni y Morbito work together since the beginning of 2006, in wich they create TIXINDA, showing their mixed work in alternative fashion events, toys exhibitions, Graphic Art, Street Art, Experimetnal Design and Performance Festivals. Bringing out their creations during 2008 in Nike events, where they’ve been annonced in world wide sportwear line launch. Although being a recent union formula, is amazing the impact of this duo, knowing how to become visible, listened, and feeled in actual creative scene. The mixed labor with craftsman from different towns of Mexico, adding their contemporany sight is a key fact in their original creations, that shows symbolic and aesthetics richness. Tixinda work as a team assembling a truly creative weave aside the gifted Chris Arenas (store), Monky (webmaster), Mann (photography) and Pablo Arenas (marketing) believing in teamwork and comunity strength. In TIXspace you’ll find variety of products, unique hand crafted pieces but also magic and funny collectable plush about the first members of tixindeska comunity.
