DEBI a.k.a. "DEVI" MENDEZ, a filipina amateur photographer/ occasional model/ painter / international celebrity freelance makeup artist (QATAR based) is an artist of her own right. Her passion for art has been her namesake, since her (late) uncle was a painter which means her core for it runs in the blood.

A former M.A.C. Cosmetics events makeup artist (2005-2012) , in the whole Middle East Region, often called as one of the iconic " M.A.C. FACE CHART QUEEN", she has accomplished her mission to prove that there is possibility w/ real makeup as a medium used for painting. Yes, she paints with real makeup. Her works were displayed at " M.A.C. VILLAGIO - DOHA, QATAR " retail.

As a makeup artist, she has catered business with royalties, fashion shows, weddings, t.v. presenters, t.v. shows, jewelry ads, international hollywood a-list celebrities (from Michelle Yeoh, Mark strong & Nadine Labaki), film directors, media, & some local celebrities which proved that at her young age, her art is what made her one of the most controversial artist in the Gulf of all times.


Aside from the artistry, she is also an occasional solo "multi-musician" and a songwriter. In year 2004, she has formed the doom metal filipino band OREMUZ (former MUTUS LIBER PROJECT) and as a former member of the band, she has given the band's conceptual overture prophecy as a "gothic brutality" grunt act. To be a certified makeup artist is not just a sudden form of choice, or a force by nature. It is not learned, but it is given. Yet, to enhance this talent, one must consider his awareness, patience, & experimentalism . Mastering the right elements of colour theory, and key products are a good primer for your makeup skills. The foundation of your artistry level are your brush tools, while your creativity, and your imagination helps you create a subject of varied emotions in your skin-canvass. I dream big. My ambitions are enormous. Yes, I want to see my name in headlines. I want to be out globally. My biggest dreams & ambitions is to 1. meet and do DITA VON TEESE's makeup someday, 2. add more local/hollywood celebrities and international musicians as my permanent make up clients, 3. do makeup for international music videos, and box-office movies, 4. have my own salon, 5. own my own makeup college school and teach esp. for those that want to pursue makeup. :) Read Less
