I have always been a visual person. Maybe it’s from what my optometrist, refers to as my “abnormally large pupils.”
Since I was a child I felt like I saw the world differently, constantly squinting and moving to get the best view. It took many years however for my parents to see that the camera I longed for was a good investment.
I was born and raised in Plymouth, Michigan between my two favorite and uniquely different cities, Detroit and Ann Arbor. Growing up in a diverse metropolitan area has greatly influenced my perspective on the world.
My constant curiosity for unique environments and cultures compelled my interest in photography as way to document the people and places I experienced.
I currently am a Photojournalism and 2D Art: Fine Art Photography senior at Central Michigan University. Within the last five years, I have managed to take every photography class available to me.
I am intrigued by all forms of photography from documentary work, portrait, fashion, travel photography and multimedia.
I am also very passionate about traveling. I have spent almost four months abroad on three different educational adventures. I am extremely interested in learning about different cultures. I document my experiences of the people, culture and country through the lens of my camera.
