Tammy Tan was born in San Francisco, but spent her childhood drawing and reading in cloud forests of Canton, China before returning to her beloved city.
She is currently based in Providence pursuing a B.F.A. in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design, and working as a calligrapher at Ladyfingers Letterpress.
Recently, she travelled to Europe to work as an archaeological illustrator and to study Renaissance painting techniques. Inspired by visual traditions, she is constantly experimenting and taking her work to new places. Read Less
