Designed and assembled membership recruitment board in the lobby of the non-profit theatre.

Design publications, postcards, booklets, banners for the 15 departments within the division as well as for the Vice President of Student Affairs. Serve as the marketing liaison for Student Centers and Activities. Photograph events and portraits such as 2012 Orientation Leader group and individual portraits, 2012 Spring Family Weekend, John Legend concert, and Resident Advisor Selection Campaign portraits.

Once a week over the course of six weeks, taught a class of five beginning photography students the basics of photography including manual exposure settings, the balance of ISO, shutter speed, and aperture, finding good light, and basic composition guidelines.

Assigned homework each week for students to practice what they had learned.

Provided constructive criticism and overall feedback during students’ presentations of homework assignments.

Designed brochure to raise awareness for fundraising for an olympic-grade rubberized track at Blacksburg High School’s new building site.

Designed brochure to recruit high school students for Coach James DeMarco’s summer running camp, High Distance Performance Academy.

Designed registration forms for the first annual Hokie Half Marathon and 5K.

Designed and created Meeker’s website, www.darcymeeker.com, during the summer of 2009.

Assisted students with Adobe CS5 and Final Cut Express in the Macintosh platform. Was responsible for checking out electronic equipment (digital SLRs, video cameras, laptops) to students and faculty. Helped troubleshoot students’ personal laptop issues.
