Suzanna Schlemm was born in 1971, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before becoming a painter, she majored in Communications and was a copywriter for 10 years, having worked mainly at the agencies Ogilvy & Mather and DPZ Propaganda.
In 2001 Suzanna moved to NYC to study painting and begin what would become her second career. She enrolled as a full-time student at The New York Studio School, where she earned multiple scholarships. She also took various classes at the School of Visual Arts, NY Arstists League and Parsons School of Design.
