Keep the rabble out until things got better. Keep the bums from pissing on the roses. Keep the riffraff from hanging around the back door asking for kitchen scraps. The slump kept on going, but inside the walls the yards stayed nice and people walked their dogs and went to the gym and their kids could go down to the playpark at dusk and you didn’t have to worry. Inside the walls it was nice.
