Subalekha Udayasankar is a design strategist and prototyping specialist who believes in creating simple interfaces that are inviting and reusable with an element of play using complex data. Curious by nature, she is constantly experimenting with and delivering radical yet viable design solutions all through her six years of Industry/Research experience.

Subalekha works at ease with different media be it physical, web, mobile or electronic circuitry. Her designs have been a part of Artech '08, G4C '08, Come Out & Play '08 '09 and Conflux '09. She has been invited to conduct demos and workshops at Fun & Games '08, Games+Learning+Society '09 and DiGRA '09.

Subalekha is a graduate of MFA Design & Technology from Parsons where she focused on using locative media to create shared experiences in real-time geography. She also holds a Masters in Computer Science from Miami University where she investigated on automated population and maintenance of resource databases using web-based screen scraping and web services for the American Red Cross. As a part of her undergraduate thesis in Electronics and Communication Engineering, she designed a mobile-based home automation system. She currently resides in New York and works in the States, Holland and India. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and loves living near the water.
