Eva-Maria Ruhl holds degrees in English, French and German language and literature. After a brief career in teaching, she now works full time as an artist. She earned a certificate in Botanical Art and Illustration from the Corcoran School of Art and Design. Her works have been included in "Beyond Words: the Symbolic Language of Plants" at the Delaware Art Museum, in the 2010 White House Holiday Guide "Simple Things", the Corcoran Gallery of Art exhibition "Botanical Treasures of Lewis and Clark", the US Botanic Gardens in DC and at local galleries and art exhibits. Her illustrations of plants have been included in "A Garden of Marvels" and "Paradise under Glass" (by author Ruth Kassinger). She is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artist (ASBA), the Botanical Art Society of the National Capital Region (BASNCR) and of Studio 155. Read Less
