Stefano Merlo was born in 1985 in Valdobbiadene (Treviso), Italy.
In 2008, He graduated in Industrial Design at the Free University of Bozen (Italy).
During 2006, he attended the Erasmus exchange project at the Design Academy Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
His passion for design is at 360° degree, ranging between product and graphic design, but also web, interaction and print design.
07/2008, he degreed with the project "Phantom chair" at the Free University of Bozen, Bolzano (Italy)
03/2008, the project Usami&Riusami (commissioned by L'Uomo Vogue & Yamamay for the exhibition "The Design and the Nature") has been exhibithed at Galleria Cardi during the Milan Furniture Fair, Milan (Italy).
01/2008, the project "Energy Bucket" has been exhibithed at the IMM International Furniture Fair in Cologne in the DesignSpotter’s Pavilion, Köln (Germany).
10/2007, the project "Energy Bucket" has been exhibithed at the GDB 2007 Design Biennale in the city of Gwangju, in South-Korea, organized by the Gwangju Biennale Foundation, (South-Korea).
In 2007, The works “Energy Bucket” and “Scratch-me” have been shortlisted in the “bright LED competition”, co-organized by Designboom and Gwangju Biennale foundation, South-Korea.
09/2007, the project “Blade of Grass” has been recognized with the 1st prize in the 2nd International Outdoor Furniture Contest by Gandia Blasco, Valencia (Spain).
03/2006, the project "Uno o Nessuno" has been exhibited at Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Milan (Italy).
