Techonolgy and brand strategist Mouhamadou M. Sow has a zeal for using digital tools to encourage social responsibility amongst the masses. Fluent in French, Arabic, English and Wolof, he is committed to leaving a legacy that substantially increases the cultural capital for his home country of Senegal in general and the African continent as a whole.
He has served as Technology Coordinator for the annual think tank BarCamp Gorée and placed second at NetAfrika Challenge 2010. Held in Bamako, Mali, the competition was an opportunity for web developers and programmers across West and Central Africa to identify a practical problem and develop a technical tool as a solution.
Dedicated to reshaping the Western misrepresentation of people and places on the African continent, Mr. Sow has extended his skills to include freelance photography. Currently working on a body of work that captures the contrasting beauty of both the rural and metropolis environments of Senegal, he hopes to not only create a new definition but use his work as a time capsule documenting the quickly evolving landscape.
