Sofia Papathanasi - Vgontza was born in Athens in 1974. She is a graduate of T.E.I. of Athens in Photography (1998) and School of Fine Arts in Athens in Painting (dr. T.Patraskidis), (2007). She has attended many seminars for children art, illustration and art therapy. She has illustrated more than ten children books, cd covers and graphics. She also is a teacher of painting. She has participated in several group exhibitions as well as three solo exhibitions. Lives and works in Athens with her husband and their son.
