I founded smartdesign in 2007 prior to ilovelvet as a freelancer during my studies. When leaving ilovelvet i decided to return to freelance as smartdesign.

At Smartdesign I am responsible for the day to day running of the business as well as specialist work including, but not limited to, graphic design for an online environment as well as print media.

As a freelance web designer I am responsible for the design and development of all online media for a variety of advertising agencies in Durban and have several clients across South Africa.

The services portfolio includes below-the-line advertising and preperation for print. The conceptulisation, design and programming of all online media as well as project management.

As a freelance design studio I am responsible for client services, costing, project management, reproduction for print and machine proofing in Lithographic, Digital and Screen Printing.

My area of expertise and passion is the design and development of cutting edge, bespoke websites using various programming languages and techniques to achieve the best online solution.

I am also responsible for the design of Email marketing templates, email campaign sends and website maintenance.

7+ years visual communication experience in the design and advertising industry. I have specialized experience in graphic and web design, with a proven track record of developing online media from concept to production.

I have a sound web design background with extensive experience as a frontend developer, and have completed a Bachelor of Technology degree in graphic design, focusing on web design having written my thesis on “Design for the Internet”.
