Biography
After several years of commercial graphic design and illustration, I have set myself on a path of pure creativity. Forging a balance between professional and personal agendas, the need to create is, finally, outweighing the desire to consume.
I have been active in the designer figure scene for several years. Working alongside adFunture Workshop I produced the statement making S.L.M. art toy. Amoungst my other creations was the Buka character, which was developed into a platform toy with the worldwide release of Beware of Fake Buka, Season One. This was followed by the China Buka Series, which saw its worldwide debut at the prestigious Victoria & Albert Museum as well as an installation in the luxury department store, Liberty, in London.
My latest artwork makes a transient move away from character design and settling in fine art. Recent paintings strongly reference the theme of military action - using the iconic symbol of the resistance fighter, the AK47, in layered patterns around which abstract forms flow. Graphics, applied to a series of soon to be released limited edition prints, continue to debate conflict whilst referencing social agendas.
