Being an avid fan of character driven stories it was appealing to see the parallel between individuals within the story and the plot lines they existed in. Being an individual that is fanatical about connection and relationships I was always intrigued by how the two inter-played. A story that can keep an audience engaged and think past the shell of narration, but still illustrate a true message inspires me to use my art to achieve this goal. I felt animation was a medium in which I could break through the surface or flesh of story and character and delve into the heart of the theme being illustrated​. Crossing the threshold of visuals, animation hones the audience's focus away from what they see and more so on how they feel. It's through that level of connectivity that sparks my need to create to reach that very same level
