My ability to organize and compile large amounts of information (text, raw data, statistics, diagrams, etc.) into a clean and understandable form is a strong strength that I am very proud of. This skill is evident throughout my information design pieces, but also through my entire portfolio. Every project involves extensive research to come to a final design decision and my ability to organize information rationally has allowed me to truly understand the content that I am conveying. What I'm doing is essentially a rational, logical, and sequential process with the identification and analysis of a problem.
My design style is representative of being clean, fresh, and very organized while following a structured grid system. Coming from a highly technical background, I have found it hard to break out of the grid, so I have embraced it into my design work. This grid system is evident in my publication pieces as well as my information graphic work. Another recurring theme in my work is my consistent use of photography. As a photographer, I embrace every opportunity to capture photographs for projects. Throughout college at St. Lawrence I was introduced to photography and I immersed myself into the medium, and this is where I developed my own understanding of composition. Read Less
