I serve as Director, Business Development for AccuBraille.
AccuBraille is a product from Garnett Sign Studio (Founded in 1946), a leading fabricator of interior and exterior architectural signs for over 65 years. There has been a strong focus placed on producing ADA compliant signage following the inception of the American's with Disabilities Act in 1990. Garnett began by offering applied text and icons along with Raster Braille. Starting in 2003, integrated text and icons using a photopolymer process were offered by Garnett. In early 2010, the R&D team began work to develop a process that would produce a 100% compliant product and would be able to withstand fluctuating climate and humidity conditions, while at the same time offer unlimited design possibilities. To accomplish this goal, the team partnered with industry professionals. In early 2011, after rigorous research and testing under even the most extreme conditions the AccuBraille brand was launched.
