About
A veteran of the video game industry since 1997, with additional experience in the comic book industry, Scott has over 8 years of experience in Creative Director roles – both online and offline. He has worked for industry-leading companies including Electronic Arts, Capcom and DC Comics.
After establishing new standards for email marketing and ecommerce at Electronic Arts, Scott recently created and launched their new “EA Comics” imprint in partnership with IDW Publishing. Scott was responsible for all aspects of the program, from business to creative. A small sampling of aspects he managed includes setting budget and revenue goals, establishing branding for the imprint, identifying EA IPs that would translate well to comics, negotiating with publishers, identifying and securing the creative talent for each title, and setting the launch strategy.
Prior to EA, Scott worked at Capcom where he partnered with key executives to establish the ideal positioning for the game “Lost Planet,” including setting the visual marketing tone and defining the user experience for the marketing site and viral ARG campaign, resulting in the biggest launch of a new IP in the company’s history. He also redesigned the company’s primary websites, was a key contributor in the company’s paradigm-shift to embrace their rabid fan base and build a community-centric online presence, and designed packaging and other marketing collateral for key Capcom brands such as Resident Evil and Devil May Cry, among others.
Scott is always looking for opportunities to reach new audiences. He has extensive experience in marketing, community-building and developing revolutionary strategic programs to advance companies’ objectives. He has defined the online identity for several companies and developed new strategies to increase the online presence of numerous franchises.
He has been a strong advocate for rich, engaging websites with solid, consistent branding for over 10 years, and has numerous online and print projects under his belt – both as designer, and as Art/Creative Director.
