Specifically interested in how and why designers do what they do, my design process focuses on the fusion of creation and imagination. Understanding of the cycles of creation, production and distribution, I focus on leading my personal passions and design projects simultaneously as a joint venture. My central life goal is to help others communicate through visual communication design.
As a designer and creative thinker, I work best in a constant state of flux. Daily transition helps me to understand the need to activate my imagination. Emphasizing my overall efficiency and productivity, I selectively work in conditions that harness my creativity and activate my imagination. Using the left (logical) and the right (emotional) sides of my brain, I look to evoke emotional response of viewers and transform logical solutions into intangible feelings. As a designer, my intentions are to make an impact on society whether local, national or global.
I am a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design (BFA in Graphic Design), and am currently studying Visual Communications Design at Purdue University while simultaneously teaching undergraduate Art & Design courses. I plan to complete my MFA in 2013 and hope to make a positive contribution to the future of design by educating the next generation of designers. Read Less
