Saint Petersburg, RussiaRussian digital culture editor and founder of Designcollector Network, Arseny Vesnin (b.1981) has been exploring and curating the very best of visual media arts and design since 2003. Being a pioneer of blogging and digital curating Arseny quickly absorbs new trends and time to time works on his own experiments. The recent condition of our cluttered digital era, awareness of a data fragility (that can be lost in a matter of a second in case of outages or other cases) political and digital frauds and even digital wars, thus everything shows a new side of our life. The life which is totally rely on digital everything. Arseny believes that any physical or digital glitch can lead to the chain of reactions in every aspects of human being. He is trying to express the topic through the glitch art, the new visual language aimed to aware us about the responsibilities we should take to keep the planet and our society alive

Curator
The Digital Decade collaboration and exhibition now in its 7 year, has run successfully each year since 2013. Together with enormous set of partners and friends we collaborate with more than 100 artist on hot topics like environmental changes and near-future trends to deliver a number of exhibitions and pop-up shows in Barcelona, St.Petersburg and London.

I have started Designcollector in April 2003 as a first Russian blog dedicated to web design sites. Little did I know that it would eventually grow into a permanent place to get inspiration and catch up the recent trends in graphic design, motion-graphics, flash, web design, photography, fashion and music.
For the last several years Designcollector have been leaded by several contribution authors who eventually made posts on a site and improved the value of a resource.
For the years DC has been supporting the cutting edge of design scene: ADCR, Electrolux Labs, Philips Design, FITC, OFFF, TOCA ME, MadinSpain(MAD) Partnership with the FWA, Design You Trust, Behance Network, Lookbook, Digital Abstracts, IdNWorld, NewWebPick, Fubiz, Design East, Bigmag, Deforum, Ventilate, Dazed, Satellite Voices and etc.
The wide network of partners and creative connections let DC to collaborate with various media, curate and reveal local and worldwide talents. At this point I have contributed (articles/interviews/activities) to Digital Creative Arts Russia, Xyligan (Hooligan), Smashing Magazine, and most recently with Dazed&Confused (Satellite Voices)
Long-lasting partnership with OFFF post-digital culture festival converted me from Media Supporter (2008 - 2010) to Speaker (Russian Creativity Panel) expected in June 2011.
Having all Russian talents around inspired me to create the unique books and references: "Russian Illustration WOW!" in two volumes. Published and delivered by Blurb.com
