Roman Ariel Rodriguez was born in Avellaneda City, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He has been shooting since he was a little kid.
At 19 years old, he started his formal studies in film making. He attended the Image and Sound Design career (Diseño de Imágen y Sonido) at the Buenos Aires University (Universidad de Buenos Aires).
A few years later, he began his career as a filmmaker in the prestigious Avellaneda Cinematographic Art Institute (Instituto de Arte Cinematografico de Avellaneda) with mentoring by the finest in the Argentinean film industry in directing, editing, camera work, screenwriting, and acting directing.
Román partnered with two colleagues from the Institute, starting his own production company at the age of 22, Kw Austral Films. Since then, he has directed, shooted and edited short films, music videos, social and sports events, documentaries and fashion sessions for different argentinian customers and filmed "Encriptación", which won the "Audience Award" at the Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre Independent Film Festival 2006.
Román is an advanced and experienced editor as well, using and creating his own style for storytelling, combining montage and editing for those purposes in a really unique way. His visual style it's a nice combination between classic style and contemporary visual styles.
His camera skills goes together with his editing vision, keeping the same personal style for any project that he leads.
