Rodrigo Sobral is an Executive Creative Director at R/GA London. He provides creative and thought leadership for the agency and is responsible for growing pan european roster of clients, inclusive of Nike, Heineken, O2, BBC, MasterCard, Getty Images, Nokia and Johnson & Johnson.
Prior to joining R/GA Rodrigo was the Mill Digital Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director. He was responsible for the company creative output and led the Mill Digital into winning 2 Grand Prix, 32 international awards and nominations and being shortlisted as Digital Agency of The Year by the BIMA in 2012.
Before the Mill, Rodrigo worked at AKQA where he was responsible for supplying creative and strategic direction for the Nike Global account. He developed several successful campaigns as well as IPs that helped the company on winning three consecutive Agency of the Year Awards in the UK.
Rodrigo began his career in Sao Paulo working as a designer and programmer for various advertising agencies. He went on to become the founding partner of Loo/SP – pioneer Digital Production Company in Brazil.
Rodrigo has been working with ATL and interactive media since 1997 and has been recognized as a pioneer in digital advertising in his country. In 2008 Meio & Mensagem, arguably the industry’s most respected publication in Brazil, elected Rodrigo as one of the top digital players in the country.
His work has been featured in many magazines and publications around the world and has been recognized internationally by most industry awards; including one gold Integrated Lion and six Cyber Lions, at Cannes, along with awards from D&AD, The One Show, Clio, LIAA, NY Festivals, Webby, Bimas, etc.
Rodrigo has also participated in juries of award festivals and has given talks in conferences such as Cannes Lions Imagination Day, Creative Review Click and D&AD Industry Talk.
