Richard Silver Photo

New York, NY, USA
Taking photographs for over 25 years photography has always been a part of my life, be it at home in New York or traveling the world. From taking lighting classes in the 1980's with my first SLR to a full frame Nikon Digital camera, I've also evolved as a photographer. Varied professional backgrounds from beverage distributor, stock broker and real estate broker has brought me to photography as a profession.
Travel, photography, photography, travel...they go hand in hand for me. Having done extensive travel to 6 of the 7 continents, over 50 countries and well over 150 cities I've taken pride in trying to photograph the world. In an ongoing battle to see every place possible I am constantly adding more destinations to conquer. Life is said to be too short and I agree with that simple statement. I have goals like every artist does and mine is to “X” off as many places around the world until I run out of places to see or I run out of time.
Currently working with www.Yellowkorner.com and multiple online photography sites I am able to have my work promoted to a wide range of audiences. I'm part of the AT&T Corporate Collection, the permanent collection of the LaGrange Art Museum in Georgia and have worked with Tiffany and Co. Always striving for unique ways to highlight my photography I have used Tilt Shift, 180 degree Panorama and Slicing to separate my work from others. I enjoy the power I have to change the perspective of the way people look at the world and maybe at themselves.
