In 3rd grade I won a district-wide art competition. It stands as the ignition of (and obviously greatest accolade in) my calling as a designer. The night I accepted the award, I stared across the gymnasium at the rows of metal folding chairs filled with adoring parents and I made an observation that changed everything for me. When they looked at my drawing, they seemed to feel the same emotions that I felt drawing it. I didn't know it at the time, but I had used the 8.5x11 inch canvas to communicate these emotions. Seeing how my creative influence can change the world around me is what drives me. I've come to realize that intelligence in design is a largely matter of being well-informed and observant. In fact, I believe that design, in addition to being a problem-solving process, is exactly that- an observation of how brands can more effectively communicate with consumers. When I reflect on my success, I don't measure it by the number awards I've won. For me it's about the number of observations made and the number of problems solved.

If you have a project or other opportunity you think I'd be suited for please don't hesitate to contact me.

I am currently available for freelance work. I'm also currently accepting donations ;). Read Less
