Renato Seixas was born in Oporto in 1975 where he grew up watching Miyazaki's flying ships from the Future Boy Conan manga. This made him become interested in the relationship between animation, sound and magic.
He is a Graphic Designer graduated in 1997 from the Escola Superior de Artes e Design, Oporto. He started his design career working for various studios and in 2000 he became a freelancer.
In 2002/2003 he created a virtual design studio, FireGirl (http://www.firegirl.co.pt) with Nuno Baldaia, where he is publishing his creations. A collection of dreams, images, sounds, memories, real and imaginary worlds; narratives which got mixed together.
His work has been published in magazines and books, including: IdN Magazine, Communication Arts, Tres Logos - Die Gestalten Verlag, Around Europe Logos, Around Europe Publisher, Spoor, Atomica, Search Megazine, Número, among others, giving him notoriety and an international projection.
Renato arrived in Madrid in 2007 to team up with the studio Tau Design, as a Graphic Designer, without forgetting his other projects with his brand FireGirl.
The interactions with his characters, robots and heroes are alive, giving them all the time a breath of fresh air in his FireGirl's arch.
In 2008 he created MAD_B (MásAlláDel_Bajón): an experimental sound project, a regulating sensations container where he explores sonic soundscapes, digital beats and electro-loops that make up this capsule of emotional electronica. He keeps developing original soundtracks for contemporary plays, doing as a research work DJ/VJ sessions and live sound improvised performances.
In 2012, he rides with Rafael García as a creative tandem R1R2 (http://www.r1r2.es), dealing and sharing design, communication and window display sensations.
In March, after leaving Tau Design, Renato Seixas turns his own name into the website http://www.renatoseixas.com, an official design brand where he shows more than 10 years of experience in the creative world. Read Less
