Chris Ramey is a Video Editor & Colorist freelancing in New York City. CR's job is to use his deep knowledge of workflow & color grading to create a safe haven for the filmmakers that have been ravaged by the shooting & editing stages of film production. He is available for hire in-house or at his Brooklyn editing/DaVinci Resolve color suite with a focus on independent cinema, documentary & added value pieces for social media.

For a decade, CR was the in-house Video Editor at The Criterion Collection. He edited various interviews & documentaries featuring film industry innovators such as Paul Thomas Anderson, Wes Anderson, Noah Baumbach, Candice Bergen, Francis Ford Coppola, Peter Falk, Spike Lee & George Lucas. As a Finishing & Online Editor, CR crafted & graded broadcast quality deliverables on hundreds of original video interviews, documentaries & archival materials for DVD, Blu-ray, internet & Hulu. Many feature films in the Collection have received CR's expertise in workflow, conform & restoration work. Albert Maysels joined CR in his color suite for the DI grade of "The Beals of Grey Gardens."

Chris Ramey received his degree in 2002 from the School of Visual Arts. While in the Computer Art Department, CR studied compositing & motion graphics, started using Final Cut Pro version 1.0 & received the Rhodes Family Award. Read Less
