My figurative studies capture the feeling and the mood of the subject. I prefer anonymity in the characters, attempting to capture the essence through form and relying on suggestion and ambiguity.
I like to use fluid mediums, such as pen and ink and watercolour which create a delicate movement to the works. I paint using acrylics building up layers, using washes and playing with the paint to create depth.
I choose to use aspects of the human figure in my work as lines and forms which express emotion. Read Less
