Marketing & Communications Manager

■ Oversaw and executed all marketing, graphic design, public relations, and box office efforts for Boston’s Company One Theatre (C1), including for theatrical productions, new play readings, community engagement events, fundraising campaigns, and education programs.
■ Served as creative director and graphic designer for all promotional material. Worked with directors, actors, and freelance photographers to generate key art for regional premieres by Pulitzer-, Tony-, and Oscar-winning writers, as well as new works by local playwrights, while balancing the creative vision and storytelling priorities of the production team with C1’s bold and vibrant brand identity.
■ Wrote and edited promotional copy for all programs, while ensuring all material aligned with C1’s longstanding commitment to social justice.
■ Served as in-house video editor.
■ Maintained and updated social media platforms, overseeing C1’s Marketing & Communications Associate to craft promotional campaigns for each event, while coordinating with C1’s leadership on time-sensitive advocacy posts in response to social movements and the urgent work of partner organizations.
■ Hired and managed box office teams for live productions, overseeing ticketing systems, patron communication, audience surveys, and Covid-safety policies, while prioritizing an atmosphere of radical hospitality.
■ Wrote and deployed press releases and maintained press relationships, coordinating with journalists on features with The Boston Globe; GBH’s Open Studio, Greater Boston, Under the Radar, and Basic Black; Boston25 News; WCVB’s CityLine; WBUR’s Radio Boston and The ARTery; Boston magazine, Boston Common magazine, DigBoston, and more.
■ Maintained and updated C1’s website. Worked with web developer Giant Rabbit to improve the site’s back-end infrastructure while modernizing pages throughout the site using Wordpress and Divi.
