Peter Kimelman (PK) is an architect and artist whose work spans the arbitrary boundaries of building, interior, graphic, and installation design. He received his Masters in Architecture from UCLA, where he was recipient of the prestigious Regents and Deans Fellowships, and his Bachelors of Architecture from Cornell University. A native of New York City, PK moved to San Francisco to practice after spending several years in architectural publishing. He has worked for several prominent San Francisco architecture firms designing award-winning large scale buildings and interiors. Passionate about architectural pedagogy he has taught design, theory and digital technology at several institutions including Iowa State, Woodbury, and Drury Universities. His research/work was recently on display in the exhibit "How Wine Became Modern: Wine and Design Since 1976" at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Together with Rebecca Anders, Catie Magee and Jess Hobbs, he is a Founding Director of the Flux Foundation and one of it's Lead Artists. The Foundation creates large-scale public art and public artists.
