Screening, Vetting and Compliance Officer
As part of a large team, I was responsible for screening and vetting large volumes of applications from potential employees to work at London 2012. This was a 12 month fixed term position where by roles and responsibilities often changed. Working between Teesside, London, Cardiff and Glasgow, My job entailed liaising with external companies such as Disclosure Scotland, SIA, Disclosure Scotland and Credit safe in accordance to British standards. Duties included dealing with highly confidential information, contacting businesses and educational establishments (internationally) to confirm employment history and qualifications. I was responsible for processing applicants through the recruitment process dealing with payroll, interviews, identification for Right to Work. Alongside this I developed general office and administrative skills such as preparing correspondence, using fax machines, software, mail franking, telephony and switchboard. I undertook a month long training programme to obtain a SIA licence and a St John Ambulance First Aid course.
